Just noticed …
It’s funny, I’ve had this lil compy for I guess about a year now and today I put “this” blog up on the screen there to the right for the first time, what a surprise!
When I first got that compy, I did a little comparative viewing and noticed how much of a luminosity difference there is between the two monitors, and didn’t really give it much more thought as the lil compy was not going to be used for graphics, nor movies. Mostly I use it for browsers and email, as I have 2 major email accts that have auto-notification, I can keep one up on each machine and generally know when I get mail. Also, when DJing or gaming, I can pull information from the web (stats, research) without obscuring the main software running on the big rig. It’s damn handy.
Oh and it’s not that something’s wrong with the monitor, I am fairly certain, as the main is a CRT and the lil compy has a flat-screen. They just have different properties I’ve found in side-by-side viewing. Makes the banner above kinda moody, mostly. So those of you on flat screens, which is prolly the majority of you I guess now, “that’s a brighter graphic”. Guess I gotta consider alternate screen testing, like checking a web page for firefox/IE/other browsers? Naaah. Well maybe. Not today. Fer sure, fer sure.
Don’t mind me, typing outta my @$$. hehe
*Oh if someone cares, 17″ Iiyama Vision Master Pro 400 vs. a 15″ Sony (flat).
