zOMG! Metaverse Messenger’s Resident of the Week is … Me!

I didn’t know when it would be published, but I guess this week is my week to be spotlighted as the Metaverse Messenger Resident of the Week (ROTW). Miss Trin was similarly honored a few weeks back and another familiar, sometimes pink scaley face will be appearing soon as well, so keep yer eyeballs peeled! I gotta say, that as far as capsule interview questionnaires go, I like this one. I found that providing answers provoked some thought and do illustrate rather nicely what I think about SL overall.

Mass Linkage w/commentary …

In no particular order …

Homestar Runner which I’ve known about for a very very long time, but seem to have missed the link when I brought stuff over from my old blog info. Silly good fun, if often unintelligible, which I suspect is the point.

Micro Persuasion is Steve Rubel’s blog on marketing and PR in the age of “new media” (web, etc.).

Tiny Nibbles – Open Source Sex is the tag-line and that seems to sum it up nicely. Lotta resources, commentary and such. We’re all interested in it aren’t we? Well? Ok, I am. heh.

Defamer another one I’ve known about for a long time, thanks to Kay Why Jay and his connections ;-D. Check out the bit on “Breast Supporting Actress” the quote describing Helen Mirren’s assets is priceless! – Cory Doctrow’s site, bio, linkage, info on his books and appearances. Anyone who’s been in SL for a bit should know this name (he co-edits Boing Boing). Anyone that’s been about the web a bit ought to know of him at the very least. Oh hell, I left off Boing Boing!

Postsecret gotta secret you’ve never told? Put it boldly on one side of a postcard (specifics at site), send it in, and relieve yourself of the burden!

Ain’t It Cool News breathless tidbits about stuff of all sorts.

Lawrence Lessig a name well-known around Second Life, blogs about many other things as well, but you might want to check out his Jan. 5th 2007 entry about SL population and economic growth.

Jimmy Wales is the founder of Wikipedia amoung other accomplishments. An interesting guy to be sure.

Ok that’s all I have for today, I’ll see about putting these links over on the right later on!

Ok, I have a blog again. I have a responsibilty (self-driven) to post stuff. Hopefully intesting stuff. So I went out a-looking for some fresh content. Found some. Well I found a lot, but one bit really stuck out.

I ended up at Forbes magazine, culling through their list of “celwebrities” and found the following bit about Google and Second Life on TechCrunch, or more accurately about Google considering trying to take over what Second Life does. Yea. Just what I thought. My comment (with typos grrr non-editable) is 23rd.

More linkage and commentary to come …
