Blogging Against Escalation in Iraq!
First off, let’s be really clear, I’m not anti-troop, nor against anything the troops and folks in harms way need to keep them safe and get them home. I AM against policies that I believe unnecessarily extend their time in harms way, increase the hazards to them and civilians in the areas concerned. I’m most definitely against President Bush’s continued ignorance of what the population of the nation he is supposed to be representing and serving thinks of his policies and actions.

That being said, the MoveOn organization is coordinating a massive Virtual March on Washington this Thursday, February 1st, 2007. A number of prominent bloggers have already posted their stance and the links I’ll include in a moment to help folks sign up and spread the word.
This isn’t a plea for money. This is a plea for folks to tell their representatives what point of view they should be representing. A phone call or two is what is being asked for, and to help increase sucess and the impact, the link will take you to a web page that will help you sign up, choose a time to call that is less congested, giving us all a better shot at getting through quickly and making sure that our Congressmen and Congresswomen are impacted with calls all day long! Oh, and they’ll send you a reminder with your representative’s phone number and name too.
